Launch of the Belgian-French investment fund INVIGA,

1st Private fund dedicated to the European video game industry

INVIGA is the first private fund dedicated to the European video game market. It aims to reach €80 million in assets under management by 2023, and has announced a minimum pipeline of 5 Investments for more than €10 million, including 3 in Belgium and 2 in France.

Created and managed by Frenchman Edouard Miffre (expert in investor relations, particularly in the gaming industry) and Belgian Patrick Gigase (25 years of experience in the video game industry, particularly as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer), INVIGA's objective is to take minority stakes in the capital of European gaming companies with strong growth potential.

In addition to its financial support, INVIGA offers an ecosystem of incubators to promote the success of its investments. Its Investment and Incubation Committee is made up of various personalities from the video game world who bring their expertise to bear on the entire value chain of the sector: Design and Creation, Production and Technology, Business Development, Marketing and Sales, and video game testing.

INVIGA intervenes at 3 levels:

• Seed capital, for the creation of video game studios or activities related to the sector,

• Series A, for financing activities that are already generating revenue,

• Series B, for investment in more mature businesses that wish to accelerate their growth.

Equity investments range from €100K to €5M, plus co-investments from a European network of private investors.

The geographical areas of intervention of the fund are primarily Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Germany. Other European areas will be covered depending on investment opportunities.

The INVIGA fund is an investment company based in Antwerp with an investment period of 6 years.

The global gaming market is expected to reach $268 billion by 2025, growing in 2021 with 14.4 % from 2020 (Source NEWZOO 2021). The sector is characterized by an unprecedented boom in equity investments and acquisitions demonstrating strong value creation potential.

"We are very pleased to announce the launch of INVIGA, which is the culmination of a year of analysis and exchanges with key players in the European gaming industry. Our French-Belgian heart already allows us to be particularly active in our territories with significant investments in companies with strong potential. We are also committed to a truly European development in order to create a unique ecosystem that will allow the players in the euro zone of the video game industry to shine throughout the world," say Edouard Miffre and Patrick Gigase, co-founders of the INVIGA fund.
